For a good number of years Neil & I have been travelling with CR McPhail, on tours that have taken us to many parts of the globe. Being farmers ourselves and leading extremely busy lives we have thoroughly enjoyed joining tours with likeminded people. Seeing cutting edge technology, cultural and scenic hot spots, all this and being truly spoilt at the end of a busy day with fabulous accommodation and meals. Often quaint old towns with plenty of areas for me to explore with my camera.
Our tours have always had a good balance of sightseeing, history and technical component. We have been places we would never get to travelling on our own. There is nothing better than having everything organised for us so we can sit back, relax and enjoy every day’s new experiences. We can’t wait for our next adventure!
If you’re looking for a tour that offers great scenery, superb food and wine, plus a fascinating range of agricultural visits, this remarkable tour may well hit the mark.
One of Australia’s most arid states, this tour to South Australia takes in a wide variety of agricultural visits that showcase how innovation has enabled farmers in the driest state on the driest continent to survive and prosper. Commencing in Adelaide, the tour encompasses the best of the state and will take you north to the stunning landscapes of the Flinders Ranges and back through the picturesque vineyards of the Clare and Barossa Valleys, then onto Kangaroo Island via the Fleurieu Peninsula. With two nights stay at Bungaree Station, one of Australia’s historic and iconic Merino sheep studs, plus a visit to nearby Martindale Hall, you’ll appreciate the pioneering spirit that defines the pastoral heritage of the state.
Finish with three nights on Kangaroo Island where boutique farming enterprises co-exist with pristine wilderness and natural beauty.
