Back from another amazing trip! (my 4th with C R McPhail). China is the most amazing place. Ron and his team really turned it on with the first Fonterra Farmers trip. The hotels were beautiful – we kept saying they couldn’t get better but they did!
A lovely mix of farming venues and sight seeing – the Great Wall, Terracotta Army and then the cruise down the Yangtze to see the 3 Gorges Dam.. mind blowing and should be on everyones bucket list. So many highlights, too many to mention but the food, the people and the culture plus many friends made on the trip.. a lifetime of memories.
Join this amazing tour through the King Country and Taranaki. Jet boat on the Whanganui River, drive rail carts on the old Taumarunui to Stratford railway, visit a remote hill country farm in the backblocks of Taranaki and stay at the historic Whangamomona Hotel.
Visit the incredible Tawhiti Museum and marvel at the presentations as you drift in boats through the Traders and Whalers exhibition, learn about the production of Quinoa, energy production in Taranaki, visit high producing farms and the internationally acclaimed Pukeiti Rhodoendron Gardens.
The enthusiasm and drive of the people you meet will be an uplifting experience. To enhance your programme local residents and entrepreneurs will join you on the coach or at dinner and provide insights to living and working in Taranaki. Well known Taranaki dairy farmer Paul Bourke will guide the tour.
